Bio
Over the past 12 years, Deirdre ‘Dee’ Kennedy has immersed herself in the diverse world of her artistic creations.
Originally from Kilkenny, Ireland, Dee worked for RTE television in Dublin, before moving to San Francisco in 2000. Since 1998, she has attended college in both Dublin and San Francisco, CA, in the field of Film/television production, film/theatre performance, screenwriting, music and has played the piano since she was 6 years old.
She performed with former bands, Sedition 2003-2004 and think13 from 2004-2009 before embarking on her solo career as singer/songwriter, Deeva. The deep desire to follow her dream as a performer inspired her to move to America. As an actress, she has performed in numerous theater and Film productions over the years, and has worked in the theater field as both Director and Producer. She is a published poet, paints regularly and has exhibited her artwork at various art shows in San francisco. Dee’s artwork made the cover of the 2007 Irish publication: Callan 800, History and Heritage book. She also has a Children’s book series currently in production.

In Spring 2010, Dee launched her first line of jewelry, The Eyes of Eve.
In 2007, she Co-Founded Youth performance educational program, VAGABOOM!, which provides low-cost programming in the Arts for children in San Francisco and Oakland, CA, and holds the position of Exec. Director. In 2009, VAGABOOM! joined forces with Dreamtime Circus, an international performance troupe who reach out to Youth from economically impoverished cities and villages around the world, to create Living Dream Arts.
Dee contests that her studies and practices in Mysticism since 2000, is the glue holds held everything together for her. In 2008, she was initiated as a Mystic High Priestess, into the Celtic Druid, Egyptian and Taoist lineage’s. Combining her training as a Priestess, meditation facilitator and Reiki practitioner, Dee facilitates Annual, mystical tours through Egypt, Awakening the Divine.
